BIBLE TREES

Read -- Psalm 1:1-6

"He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers."
-- Psalm 1:3 (NIV)

In Psalm 1:1-2 we read, Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night." The Psalmist states that whoever chooses not to take advice from mere man, but rather delights in studying the Word of God is blessed.

When we study and mediatate on God's holy word we are described as healthy and productive trees; bearing fruit in due season. In Psalm 1:3 we read, "He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers." Not all trees are prosperous though.

Jesus warned us to watch out for false prophets. We are to be, in essence, "fruit inspectors." In Matthew 7:15-17 we read, "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit."

The Bible is filled with many more tree references and kinds of wood. However, we have selected only twenty-one (21) scripture passages as clues to help you solve and find the hidden words in the, "Bible Trees" word search puzzle. Where the New International Version (NIV) and King James Bible versions differ we have chosen to list both types of tree or wood in the question. We hope you have fun and are challenged as you strive to study God's holy word.
